If you’re going to a rally school you want the guy showing you the ropes to know what he’s doing.
Chief LRS instructor Jonnie Wigmore has been rallying competitively since he was 17, starting in the BTRDA with a 1400 Peugeot 106 in 2001 before progressing to the Ford Ka Championship where he screamed across the line to take third overall in 2002 and won it outright in 2003.
In 2004 he drove for Boreham (Ford’s Works Rally Department) in a Super 1600 Puma, before winning the Peugeot 206 Cup in 2005. He is also a Lakeland Motorsport Scholarship winner and Innovation Challenge Cup winner.
Our team of enthusiastic and friendly instructors are highly experienced at teaching pupils at any level of ability. This ensures each pupil gains maximum learning and enjoyment from the days rallying.
All our instructors hold competition licenses and actively compete in various UK and European rally championships in their 'time off'!
As well as driving them, the LRS boys also build their own rally cars. Father-and-son team Chris and Jonnie Wigmore have all the resources they need to maintain the cars they already have and build new ones if they need to.
